My blaster will turn over but it aint gettin enough gas or something through the carb. so it will crank just long enough for the gas to burn out of the carb. The spark plug is gettin fire and every thing but it just wont start.I think i might have trash or something in the carb that is blocking the fuel from traveling into it..so if anyone knows what is wrong and knows how to fix it please help me.

An engine needs 3 things to work: fuel, spark, and compression. I will assume you have good spark and compression, which means there is probably a problem with your carb. Take it out and clean it real good with carb cleaner. Blow out the jets with an air compressor if you have one. Don't use a wire or something 'cause it will mess up the jets. Put it back on the bike and everything should work.

It should run for at least a minute on the gas in the carb and it should start right up if there is gas in there.. Check your reeds when you clean your carb out.. Does it start at all? Does it want to stall when you touch the gas?

yea it start's without the air filter so i dont know if it has somethin to do with that or not.But once it starts u can press the gas but u cant hold down on it or it will quit

I just cleaned my carb out today i was talkin to a guy at pratice and he told me how to clean it and everything but still it wont crank so now im thinkin it might not be the carb but i dunno

Sitting on the wheeler look down to your left for the flat head screw sticking out on the carb, turn it a LITTLE bit to the left then try to start it up with the air-filter on. Get ready to shut it off if it revvs too high, be careful or you'll blow it up. When you turn the screw to the right it will slow it down, to the left make it faster, takes a couple seconds to kick in so be careful. Its the air screw, that sounds like what your problem is, if it wont start with the air filter on but will start with it off.

I had the same problem, the engine will idle, but when you push the throttle it dies right? The TORS system is malfunctioning if this is the case. You can disable it by disconnecting the module. It is located under the front nose plastic. there are 2 modules under there. follow the wiring back to the carb to make sure you have the right one. If you disconnect it the bike should run normally.Give it a try and let us know.

i had a similar problem with my 2000 blaster. the hose coming out of the top of the tank was kinked and was keeping the fuel from getting into the carburater

Three things an engine needs to work... Hmm, I would have to say fuel, air, and compression. Spark is not necissary in all engines, More importantly it requires air.. Im not exactly sure what blasterboy is trying to tell us is wrong. But it sounds like his motor is running extremely rich or lean, has a vapour lock in the fuel system, bad gas, toasted reeds, no compression, malfunctioning tors, improperly connected.... Well you get the idea.

First I would disconnect the TORS, Then kick your bike over, preferably with the filter in place, as it is a very bad idea to kick\run the bike without a filter. If it starts, problem solved. Dont go overboard, just a few kicks. Pull the plug and see if it is wet. If its wet then you are getting fuel into the cylinder. Clean and gap the plugs, Reinstall them. Repeat the kick and check plugs process until brain oozes out your ears. Then post what the plugs looked like before and after you cleaned them. Like were they oily, dry or gassy? BTW, I was joking about repeat until.. You only have to clean and check once before clean and once after, Just because 2 times is more repeatative :)
