2004 Yamaha Bruin 350
I am new to the forum so, I hope I am posting this in the right place.
I am looking for some helpful information.
When I started to work on this Bruin it was hard to start and would not idle or stay running. This ATV does not have many hours on it and looks like new. It is also completely stock. So, I removed the carburetor and disassembled it and soaked the carburetor body and parts in carburetor cleaner. I cleaned every piece and making sure all of the jets were clean before I put it back together.
Now, it starts first try and will idle great. But, as soon as you give it any throttle it will stall. I have drained the fuel tank and replaced with fresh fuel. The air filter is clean. I replaced the spark plug. I have check the valve clearance. I have also checked for any air leaks.
I was hoping someone may have run into this before and have some information or some idea what may be wrong that I am over looking.
Thank you.

Before I cleaned the carburetor, the only way I could get it to half way idle was to have the choke on just a little. But after I cleaned it, it will idle fine. Then when you give it throttle it stalls and the choke does not make it any better. After it gets warmed up, the choke will make it stall. The diaphragm looks like new. This thing is driving me crazy.
Please let me know if you come up with anything.

Here is how to clean a carb.Disassembly and Cleaning of a Mikuni Round slide Carburetor but this part is important. Also used a wire to make sure the jets are clear and make sure the choke plunger slides smoothly.
4. Using a flathead screwdriver, screw the pilot air jet in until it is fully closed, while counting the number of turns. Now write this number down, and you can remove the pilot air jet by fully unscrewing it. You will need to make sure the air jet ends up the exact same amount of turns out as it was originally when you put it back together. Set this aside for cleaning also.
