Heated Grips...
Hey all !
I'm in the market to get some heated grips for my '05 Grizzly 660. I noticed there's more than one brand out there... Any advice on which brand/type to go with ? I actually need new grips anyways... Thanks ! Scott. |
I got a set of these when I had a Polaris Sportsman X2. Tape on the handlebar and put your new grips over them. I rode in 15 degree weather with 40 mph winds and they definetly helped out. Polaris ATV Heated Hand Grips Warmer Kit New Hot Handlebar | eBay
For my son's Can-Am Renegade I got these: Snowmobile ATV Heated Hot Handle Bar Handlebar Grips | eBay Cheesy looking switch but they work. Really had to be careful putting them on. They were on the tight side and you don't want to bang grips with heaters built into them. They can break. Most of them are 7/8" bar which is pretty standard on handlebars so there are tons to choose from. I got a set of Can-Am heated grips for my Outlander. The fitment was fantastic and there were plugs ready to go. It might be easier to see what Yamaha offers. If the OEM heated grips are as easy to put on as my Can-Am ones were it's worth the extra money in my mind. |
I went with the same Polaris heated grips like moose did and love them. Easy to install and stock grips went right back over them. On high they're almost to warm unless it gets colder, around single digits and low teens.

I could not put my thumb on the thumb warmer without a pair of gloves on. It got that hot.
