Rookie in need of advice!!!!

Hi,
Me & my friend just bought a 1999 Warrior & a 2003 Suzuki Sport 400Z. They both started up - but they have some minor gas leaks & both of the previous owners let them sit & collect dust. The Warrior also has a hard time getting into Neutral. What should we do first? Should we just bring them to a shop & ask the mechanics to give them a look over? We dont want to come across as rookies & end up getting jerked for our cash. Let me know some advice?:huh:

Its probably simple stuff like needing carbs cleaned and maybe a few new gaskets and stuff, as for the warrior alot of them are like that takes getting used to, the reverse lever can sometimes mess with how it engages. Yea im sure most stearlerships would bend you over even for simple shit like that.

@91Warrior357

Thanks - I'll check them out. "Stealerships" I LOVE that one! lol

For fuel leaks, you could try replacing all of the rubber fuel lines...Pretty simple and cheap fix. When these things sit around, the rubber lines tend to dry rot...especially if they've been bent for a period of time.

Hope that helps a bit !

First thing I would do is clean the carbs out. That can mess with them a lot
