opinions on 07 raptor 700?

Thinking of getting a 2007 raptor 700 . Just curious of opinions on the bike compared too other race quads? I'm 115 pounds I know the bikes got power, I was told there were issues with the front end lifting going to fast

They are a great ride. A little heavy but a lot of torque. I don't think the front is uncontrollable, maybe just don't use so much throttle, lol. The 700 has a soft riding suspension, I just prefer a little lower seating position and better handling personally. Having said that, I could certainly be happy with a 700 at this point in my life.

I like the 700 vs the 450s racers, they make the same hp and more low end grunt but unlike the 450s who make 45hp with high rpm the 700 makes 45hp lazily. Tell me which one will need a rebuild first down the road.

Lol, good Ole TLC. Depending on your intended use, those attributes can be bonuses or negatives. If you are competing, rebuilds are a part of the process and aren't even that bad after you have done one. Maybe in the desert or down the road you might ride peak hp, most of us care more about torque, power to weight ratios, and handling.

I just took a wild guess the guy will be like 99% of us here and just be running the woods not jumping around a motocross track with the girls cheering him on. LOL

700=Just add gas.

450s= keep it tuned.

Look at the name, I'm pretty sure the person asking the question IS a girl. The weight was a clue, how many 115 lb guys do you know? But yes, the Raptor would be a better choice for everyday riding. I wonder if the new Wolverine side by side engine will make it into any of Yamaha's quads. I'm thinking it will replace the current 686cc engine in the Grizzly. It would be cool if some version of it made it into the Raptor, a power increase wouldn't be a bad thing.
