Default Riding in the summer

Hi, I plan on buying my first raptor 700 for the summer. I asked my friends about it and they said that raptors don't fair well or last long in the high summer temperatures. I wasn't sure if that was accurate as I have seen a lot of raptor 700s riding in glamis and other deserts. The area I plan to ride in has a max temperature of 110 F and min temperature 85 F with an average temp of 100 F.
Would a raptor 700 survive in these temperatures and conditions?

Thank you

The Yammie will hold up as well as any other ATV in those temps....You might ask your friends for specific's as to why they don't think the Rappy will hold up...

I don't know why they think the raptor 700 won't hold up. I think it's because the idea of maintanence is foreign to them. Maybe raptor 700 last longer in the winter than the summer without maintanence. Anyways, is there anything I should watch for if I am using one in the summer? Extra maintanence?

Thank you

Not really any additional maintenance but, operating in those temps, I would be inclined to change the oil and filter more frequently. When my son and I used to ride a lot in the hot summer months, we changed the engine every 10 hours, then the next 10 hours, change the oil AND the filter. His ride was an 2006 Raptor 700. We cleaned the air filters about every 10 hours as well and if was really dusty.....5 hours. Having said that, we always took an extra air filter with us for both our bikes. He and I are a bit OCD about taking caring of our engines......and hence, never had a failure...

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely keep an eye on the filter and oil.
