Which One is Bettor?

I currently have Yamaha Raptor 350. I would like to upgrade. There are 2 quads I am looking at, and I'm not sure which one id rather get, here are the two choices.

A 2007 yamaha Raptor 700. Looks nice. Comes with back sand paddled tires with rims, but they are kind of worn down. Price: 3,800

Next, there is a yamaha raptor 660 (not sure what year but they are older). It looks nice. Comes with 3 sets of tires with rims, and a little extra riding gear. Price: 3,500 firm

If you have any comments, suggestions, or info such as top speed on either quad, I would appreciate it, thanks

I'd be getting me a YFZ450.
I'd bet you will be much happier.
My Dr. buddy had a 660. He loved it till he got a 450.

660 sounds way overpriced. I can buy those all day long in my area for $2500 or less, some under $2000 ready to ride. The 700 is just a better machine. Given they're almost the same price, looks like the 700 would be the way to go.

Thanks Greg. I'm suprised 660's are that cheep. It does come with 3 sets of tires, and extra riding gear, but it is expensive. Thanks for the help

Curious, You want a 660/700, Coming from a raptor 350 I'd think you'd want something a lil more sporty.
I guess I gotta say it~Nobody ever mention what a slug they are?

I wonder what the YFZ 450's are going for where he lives. I assume that's what you would rather pick. I don't think a Raptor 700 is a slug but it doesn't handle like the 450 class machines. That 700 engine puts out plenty of power and makes it plenty fast. I know the Raptor 660 made considerably more power than the same displacement engine in the Grizzly 660 and I think the 700 does the same compared to the Grizzly 700.

Sorry about the slug part. I was over emphasizing the point. :)

So a 450 is really that good that I should look into those? And by the way both the 660 with upgrades, and 700 go around 75-80, there not slow

LT80 04-29-2017 10:39 PM

Yes IMO. At least check them out to make sure what you want.

Thanks everyone. I have cut the 660 out of my options. The 700 still looks good from what I have seen ($3,800).

But now I checked into 450's and found an LTR 450. Has a couple upgrades with shocks and exost, and has new tires. It costs $3,700.

Which one is a bettor deal, this 450, or the raptor 700 explained above?
