2004 wolverine won't start
OK , so my sons wolvy won't start , took it to a mechanic friend. Just had the carb rebuilt and put in a new battery. It was getting fuel so I pulled the plug and no spark. So took it back to the mechanic and we went through all the connections and checked ohms etc. all seemed fine. We kinda thought it must be the CDI box. NOT THE PROBLEM after being *** invaded by Yamaha. So i was reading on a forum that a weak stator would sometimes not start from turning it over with the battery but would with a pull start. Tried that and it started , now the funny part I was out in the shop and playing with it and left the ignition key turned on , came back a couple days later and saw the ignition on and though I better check and see if the battery was dead , as soon as I touched the starter button it fired right up. I thought fluke and tried it again. Started right up. So I turned the ignition off and tried it the next morning , would not start , experimented over a couple days. If I leave the ignition on for 2-3 hours it will start. Leave the ignition off over night and no go. Before I **** another 400.00 bucks into the wind on a stator any body got any idea's or heard of this.
