2004 Big Bear 400 idles too high

Default 2004 Big Bear 400 idles too high

I have a big bear 400 it cranks but idles too high. Any suggestions???

Could be the choke sticking or a crack in the inlet manifold, but if it has happened gradually, your throttle stop may need altering. Check that there is some slack in the throttle cable, then adjust the throttle stop screw, which is usually a big black plastic **** under the carburettor, often has a flexible cable from it to the side of the throttle cable cover on the carb, screw out to lower the idle speed.
