Question 06 kodiak firing white ?

Ok heres the story i have a pair of 06 kodiak 450s got both of them new the sat for a few years outside decided to get them running clean the carbs flush the fuel tank new petcock and fuel line they will start right up sometimes run for a few mins to a few hours the just die ??? Part 2 so i check the spark and both are firing white and orange not blue i replaced the coil plug plug wire and boot still fire white ??? So i got my multimeter out stator is reading 480 ohms (white&green)wire to (white&red) when i test the pickup coil i think its called (red wire) to (white&blue) meter jumps all over the place from 380 to - numbers the settles to zero in a matter for a second or two shouldnt it be a consistent number ??? If so the is the stator bad both atvs test the same on the pickup coil one has a high ohms reading on the stator one is 480 other is 502 PLEASE HELP they are driving me crazy

Ok so I have a buddy that has a 2009 450 grizzly took the multimeter to his house his test exactly the same as mine red and white wire red and green wire is around 500 ohms solid red wire white and blue wire the numbers bounce all over the place checked his spark plug for fire his also firing white in Orange not blue but runs fine so I'm guessing the white spark isn't my troubles anyone have any clue as to what they could be

Spark should jump a 3/16" gap and should be somewhat blue in color, did you change the plug itself and is it the correct plug for that machine? Could easily be a corroded connection not allowing enough voltage to get thru. Big problems can occur when a machine sits idle for a long time....even worse when it sits outside. Corrosion will be your biggest enemy, problem is trying to find it!!
