Need a spreader to tow...

I purchased a motorized one that just attached to the back of the quad for spreading salt in the winter. It was OK, but I found that I got so much splash-back even with the directional disbursement that I was getting corrosion on the rear axles and pumpkin. It's sitting on a shelf in the garage now.

I bought a broadcast spreader from the local home depot and it worked fine for about two years, then it became so corroded from the chemicals it would no longer work. I rinsed it out after every use as described but it still corroded and that appears to be the same story others have given. I then decided to go liquid, bought a tank and 12v pump unit and mounted on the rear and that was about 7-8 yrs ago. Works great, easier to use and no corrosion. I have switched to liquid fertilizer and weed killer with better results. Seed still has to be dropped by hand but have a push broadcast spreader but for seed only so no corrosion.
