Default cv joint

Is my front outer joint on my Yamaha big bear 350 replaceable or do I have to buy the whole axle?

Half shafts should be available on almost all models. You can look up your year model to make sure.https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/yamaha/atv

Looks like Yamaha sell it separately. The outer joint is rarely available from aftermarket sellers such as Interparts, as most of the complex machining is on the part you throw away. We used to be able to get outer joints with the shaft attached, so you could fit the assembly to your old inner joint, (getting the old outer off the shaft was sometimes extremely difficult), but recently our "non genuine" supplier has started selling the complete drive shaft assembly, including inner and outer UJs, for less than the manufacturer charges for one joint, and has stopped selling the individual parts (except replacement boots.)

Thanks. I figure, by the time I buy the new parts and probably get the dealer to assemble it, It'd probably work out to same price for a whole one, anyways.

Not sure if you've already bought the kit, but American CV has both kits and full joints:
