Default Raptor 660 Loud Bang on startup, now dead

Hello. I can’t seem to find this probelm anywhere on the web. I have an 01 660 and after some very gentle riding in the neighborhood, I push the starter to start the bike, and the Raptor makes a large bang noice, which I would assume to be a backfire, through the carbs. After that noise however, when pressing the starter, it sounds to me like it still turns the engine over, but it does so with way too much ease. Much faster turning over, but it’s not just freely spinning like a starter clutch issue. I’ve never worked inside a small engine before - just rebuilt these carbs, and have done several carb cleanups in the past. My assumption would be that either a valve is hung, or something terrible happened inside the engine? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

check compression on it you might have dropped a valve or dropped a valve and put a hole in your piston.
