660 grizzly basegasket
I have a 2003 660 grizzly. My basegasket went a couple months ago. I replaced the gasket drove it and it blew the gaskets out the side. I tour it apart again this time used a metal gasket. Torqued the cylinder bolts to 50lbs and it immediately started pouring oil out over the floor. I dont get it new gaskets all bolts are tight and still leaks oil

Yes it does have the oil passage. Found my problem. The threads in the cases stripped out. Well actually just one stripped. The one in the front left corner . I thought about using a time-sert but I'd have to remove the dowel pin in order to make it fit. Do those pins help keep the gasket in or are they just there to aid in assembly to hold the gasket from moving while you put it together

If you use a heliacoil you should be able to use the dowel pin. It does help hold the gasket yes but it is really to make sure your jug or head is aligned properly. I'm not sure I would run one without it. It might be fine without it though its your call. Take it to a machine shop have them put in a heliacoil and use the same bolt. Might cost you a little money but should work.

Who Reserved a '02 Grizzly 660? What Color? Why did you choose the Grizzly over the other top 4x4's?
