Yes
zip tie mod is done
accelerator pump not spraying fuel

Blackblazer12345 01-07-2019 07:21 AM

Any suggestions ?
or should I just pull carb to see if line is clogged?

Have you taken the air box off and looked to see if it sprays gas when you stab the throttle, without it running. It only sprays solid when throttle goes from no throttle to wide open to overcome the quick gulp of air. Think of it like a pump spray bottle. Somebody may have improperly changed the timing of the spray. You would have to take cover off where the zip tie mod is and watch the arm that pushes the rod down that works the accelerator pump diaphragm you just replaced.

Ok I’ll look into if the rod is being pushed
and I’m not getting any fuel out of nosel when the quad is on or off?
thanks for input

Was there a spring between diaphragm and pump cover, when you changed the diaphragm. You can take the float bowl off to check the accelerator pump function.

Blackblazer12345 01-08-2019 01:45 PM

Yes it had a new spring I installed

Can someone verify witch side of diaphragm goes up?
i put the way that looked right but not sure?

Lt Granddad 01-08-2019 03:19 PM

The side you don’t see goes up. The side shown is the bottom then spring and cover.

Blackblazer12345 01-08-2019 04:27 PM

Ok I hate to admit this but...
i flipped over the diaphragm and shot carb cleaner down the passage & it’s spraying gas now
and reving up with much less bog
i will dial in carb from here
i will update when it’s running correctly
thanks for all input

I think your pilot jet is a little big. Should probably be a 45. Is the bike completely stock, aftermarket exhaust, run an open air box? What your elevation where you ride?
