2005 yfz 450 bog
Hello everyone
First of all I’ve searched this problem like crazy and read every post about same problem trying new things along the way
My problem is the quad will start up and idle good but when I crack the throttle it bogs
Bogs so bad it shuts off
If I slowly increase the throttle it will go through the gears but no sudden throttle
Quad is all stock
So far I’ve tried the zip tie mod
And I’ve also changed the jets with no improvement
Jets I went with are 168/50
If anyone has any ideas before I bring to dealership
It would be appreciated

Ok so I got the new diaphragm
installed it and still has the bog
I’m still not getting any fuel spraying into carb when I hit the throttle?
i noticed other replacement diaphragm kits come with a rod ? Not sure what that is?
thinking I’m going to pull carb & check & clear all passages
any help is appreciated

If your machine ran fine before and now it doesnt, the jets were fine.
Did this problem start after the quad was sitting unusued for more than a month without fresh, stabilized fuel?
Make sure the simple things are right. Clean, unobstructed air filter, no air leaks, clean fuel filter in tank etc,
Has your carb been worked on before? If not, and it doesnt have the rod, then you probably dont need. The rod unless it was a factory upgrade to the kit for your machine.
Was the kit you installed an oem kit?
any change at all in performance after the installation?
