Kodiak 450 Ultramatic Transmission will not engage

Hello fellow Kodiak owners,

Yesterday afternoon as me and my daughter were leaving the deer camp we were going to park our 2000 Kodiak 450 in the garage. I stopped the buggy to let her off and shifted the vehicle in neutral. The indicator light illuminated that the vehicle was in neutral. She disembarked and I went to shift into high. Well, nothing happened. The shifter worked, or it appeared to be shifting, however the ATV is stuck in neutral. Its is like the transmission isn't engaging. Has anyone had a problem like this before. Could it an issue with low fluid?

Here is a breakdown of what is going on.

ATV starts fine, the shifter works, but the ATV will not come out of neutral.

Merry Christmas.

Should be a cvt belt, is belt broke? Does engine rev up? Remove belt cover and check belt!

I haven't checked the belts. The engine will rev. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the gear linkage. The linkage arm moves, but I don't know if something came unhinged internally. The neutral light stays illuminated no matter what gear it goes into.

Can't remember if the Kodiak is the same but I have just fixed a Grizzly 550 with a broken gear lever, and the hi/lo/reverse linkage goes to a lever on the side of the gearbox. First thing to check is if the lever on the gearbox is moving when you move the one on the frame. Also, is it loose on its shaft?
