I am not sure what’s going on here. I have a gear oil leak and I need some help identifying what’s going on.

Do you know why I have a gear oil leak on the top of the clutch housing?

 

Your engine/gearbox doesn't have gear oil in it. That is engine oil and is coming from further up. Worst case, out of exhaust, but that would be accompanied by masses of blue exhaust smoke. Other possible sources are rocker cover, head gasket, breather tube, or cylinder base gasket. Shine a light on that side of the engine, bend down and take a proper look.

 

The oil smells like gear oil. I have this four wheeler at the deer lease. I plan on taking a better look this weekend. Thank you for the response, and I will try to post more pictures this weekend.
