I have a 00 and a 01 wolverine and on both of them the rear brakes squeek like crazy. I have adjusted them several times and it doesn't help. any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem and still can't figure it out either. Always at the beginning of a ride or just out of the water. If you figure it out let me know.

hey, you know what? I have a brake squeak too, It drives me nuts !!! what gives with this..Its a '00 wolve also,does anyone know WTF is goin on? And ya know,while we're at it ...what gives with the front left shock SQUEAKING like that..does anyone have a similar problem like this? nothing I do will stop it..not WD40 or Marine grade lube..NOTHING!!

lets all just WD-40 the brake pads, haul @ss down the trails and see who bleeds first...hehehehe

I have a 2001 Wolverine and have the same squeeky brakes and shock problem. Going to take it to the dealer during my normal service and see what they say.

It may very well be the type of brake pads you are using... ie: organic, versus metallic. Simply buying a better grade of brake pad will probably help. The only other thing I can think of would be possibly a small rock imbedded in the pad, but either way, new pads should help.

Hey guys I believe the squeaking you hear up front are the rubber bushings on the arms and the shocks. It is the rubber on steel that is making the noise you will notice it more after you have gone through water or after you wash it and/or put it up for awhile. My back brake squeaks too when I have not ridden in awhile or when I just take off. But if you can hear it when you are ridding then I think you have a problem. The squeak I have is not that loud. If you want to try and stop the squeaking up front get you some silicone spray and spray all of the rubber bushings on the front end. Your a-arms and your shocks are where the noise is coming from more than likely. I hope this helps you out

I also have squeaky brakes on my Wolverine and they have been there since day one had it checked out by the Yamaha place said they where out of adjustment.......don;t agree........they still do it all the time and I know it is the brakes because it stops when brakes are applied

I have adusted them several times as well as disassemble them and clean them. I think the one guy has a good idea about getting better quality pads. maybe ones with wings?
