since I have had my raptor I have never heard the fan run. Today out of curiosity I got out my yamaha manual and check out how to test it. After hooking + to the blue wire and - to the black the fan ran. So the next step is to check the circuit breaker which is supposed to read 0 ohm. mine reads .5 ohm and when I switch my meter to lo ohm then it reads a flashing .1 and then .0 ohm any thoughts? or just go by regular ohm?

Anyone else have fan problems? ever hear your run?

Had mine since December and its only come on one time. Racing a harescramble and got hung-up in a creek. Had to get off and pull the bike over some bolders and it came on. It shut off soon after I got going.

Me and my brother ride together and his has come on a dozen times or so. Mine has not come on yet. He is 50 lbs heavier and usually rides longer at the dunes. I think it takes alot of abuse to get that baby to come on.

Mine did the same thing,i let it sit and run in the garage until the warning light came on and the fan never came on, so i did the same test you did and the fan came on so i started chasing wires and under the gas tank there was a wire that was not pluged in it is in a harnass that was on the right side front area under the tank. hope this helps.

I oredered a new circuit breaker and thermoswitch, the circuit breaker was plugged in but is reading over o ohm, and figured I want to know it's all working so just ordered the thermoswitch for the heck of it. I wonder if we can get something different to make the fan come on earlier.

speaking of fans on earlier, I remember good old hypertech! they make some cool stuff. I had a 99 camaro SS LS1, with a 6 speed B&M ripper shifter, skip shift eliminator, 4.10 richmond gears, whisper airbox lid, K&N filter, granatelli air flow sensor, hypertech power programmer, hypertech 160 stat, flowmaster 80 serier muffler, mac off road y pipe (without cats) o2 simms, ya I guess you could say I miss my car!!! by the way it would run hi 12's in the 1/4. (just couldn't afford it with my bike and quad haha)

Mine come on every so often..like this past weekend when I got stuck in a mud pit and it took a little while to get out It doesn't stay on too long.

Yes you do get +5 on width. I put some thick washers on and took the valve stem caps off and it clears by a whisker. Go to Raptorzone and look at the readers rides pics. I catch air like that all day and haven't had a problem! I weigh 190 w/ all gear on.
