Ok now do they have as much torque as a 300ex. Because im getting one of those two and i would like to know how much torque and does anybody know the top speeds of these quads?

GaryManilow 06-28-2001 01:05 PM

Your getting either a Quadracer or a 250x? Thats like getting either a geo or a corvette.Torque? I guess the 250X might have more, but who cares, the Qracer will rip your arms out and shoot dirt everywhere, a 250X will be easy to ride and slow, what fits you better?

racefreak 06-28-2001 01:42 PM

Well im 5'8 and around 210 lbs. I'd imagine the quadracer would fit me better.

GaryManilow 06-28-2001 02:08 PM

If your more about high performance, then get the Qracer if your more about slow paced riding, get the 250X.Good luck.

racefreak 06-28-2001 02:38 PM

Well we went to look at the quadracer just a lil bit ago. It was in pretty poor shape. the frame was cracked in a couple places front wheel bearings where about shot the chain was ready for the garbage.I talked it over with my father and im just going to keep my Wolverine. But im going to call Four Stroke Tech up and see what kinda goddies i can get for it.

Now racefreak don't let Gary convince you not to look at the 250x. He's a 2 stroke man. No offense Gary, but the 250x has good tork, and is a good trail quad. Now I've never rode a wolverine but I've saw 300ex's beat them and I've saw 250x's beat 300ex's cuz of the higher compression. If you want a 2wheel dive sport quad with a clutch its a great choice. They can go pretty fast in the woods because of the easy power. On my 300ex I can stand it up in all gears including 5th so it does have good power on tapp.

No offense taken man, but I told the guy if he wanted a high performance machine, check out the Qracer and if he wants a tame, reliable trail bike check out the 250X, they aint bad, but they aint fast either.

GaryManilow-
I Noticed you have a 1986 Lt250 i have the same year as you do. I heard from someone that 1986 Lt 250's have been known for frames Bending is that True?

GaryManilow 06-29-2001 03:13 PM

Yeah thats the word, but I don't have any cracks and I'd say pay more attention to the swingarm.I haven't been able to determine how true the "Bad frame" stigma is with the 85-86 LTs.They updated the swing arm carrier on the 86, so thats a little less of a weak spot compared to the 85.Do you have a Banshee and an 86LT? Which do you like better?

106MphBanshee 06-29-2001 03:25 PM

GaryManilow-
The Banshee We have is Extremly Modifed( I dont ride that Much). And the lt 250 is Complety stock. i Like the Lt 250 Way Better the only thing differnt on mine is the Tires there are Spider Track. i put them on for the snow and never took them off yet. i was shocked how it did in the snow. Has plenty of power for me. (me being only 14 years old).
