Does anybody have any experiecne with this product. Does it effect the reliability? Good, bad or not much?

What are you putting it in? Timing advance seems to work better for 2-strokes than 4 strokes. I put a Curtis Sparks timing advance key in my Raptor, and promptly took it back out because it caused me nothing but headaches. (may even have screwed up my CDI...I'm suspicious) At any rate, I didn't feel like it did much. On the other hand, I have my timing advanced on my Banshee, and I can tell you that it makes more power this way. It's most effective on a modified motor. Vito advertises some pretty good performance gains...I assume it's not totally a load of crap. In summary, it works on a 2 stroke and doesn't do jack in my opinion on a 4 stroke. Reliability should not be a problem provided you use the appropriate fuel to avoid pre-ignition with the advanced timing. Happy riding.

I have my timing advanced on my Banshee and it does make a noticable difference for the better. I took my Blaster out Friday riding it first with no timing advance and it ran good. Then I put in the Vito's 4 degree key to compare it during the same weather conditions and I did feel a noticable difference for the better. I felt it pulled almost a gear higher. I am running the Vito's power pistons in both machines using race gas. I ride at 5000 ft. altitude.

I disagree with scottd. My 400ex really perked up with the Sparks key. My friends Raptor BARELY walked away from me this weekend. Its only 15 bucks....try it.

And how would this harm your CDI????? That sounds wrong.

I don't know either, dude, but I can tell you that I have eliminated all other causes...all without curing the problem. My little "bugaboo" started immediately after installing the advance key, and it ain't jetting. Something, somewhere in the ignition system got jacked up. Don't know if it was a strange coincidence or not, but I'll never screw with the ignition timing on a Raptor again! Maybe your 400ex is different. At any rate, I ain't sold on the idea...not for all the BS I've had to go through! Glad it worked for you.
