I have a problem that I would like input on. I am looking a putting new rear tires on the back and Maybe my front.

1) Is it worth it to go with 26" tires all around or just replace the 25" rear tires.
2) Replace the back tires with sur-traks and
leave it be.
3) Replace the back with sur-traks and move the back tires to the front.
4) Get a rear tire package with aluminum rims
25x10x12.

I would really like to know if I am going to regret not getting taller tires all around. I'm not what I refer to as an extreme rider just experienced and not easily intimidated by the terrain but I don't go looking for it. If it gets in my way by all means available I will take it down!!!

P.S Harold already read your post on the sur-traks helped make up my mind on them.
Need input on sizes and combinations.

I've never done it on a quad, but on a 4wd pickup, tires of difernet rolling diameters is a recipe for disaster.

having said that, it is possible to vary the rolling diameter of an atv tire by adjusting tire pressure. and of course all manufacturers' idea of how tall a 24, 25, or 26 inch tire varies.

as an example, I replaced the dunlops on my Big Bear with 26-8-12 and 26-12-12 Blackwaters and found out that they are shorter rolling than the 25" Dunlops .

So in theory, I could have bought just rear 26" Blackwaters and added a couple pounds of air to match them with the front 25" Dunlops.

I myself hate the look of mismatched tires so I would get a set of four, and upgrade in height if available.
