Default Terrapro carb question

I have a Yamaha Terrapro that I have had since 89 and I have been trying to get it running again. I let it sit for a couple yrs and the carb gummed up. I have taken it apart several times and cleaned it but it will only run if I choke off almost all the air to it. I need a rebuild kit but can't seem to find one. Dealer has been no good. Does anyone know what kind of carb it is and if this was used on any of the other models of this time frame 87-89? I'm going to take apart again a soak it in lacquer thinner for a few hrs and see if this helps. Any info on the crab would be great. Thanks in advance.

Default Terrapro carb question

Didn't wait on the rebuild kit. Put it back together...gased her up..hit the starter and she fired right up and never sputtered or anything. The lacquer thinner soak did the trick. By the way did find a rebuild kit on ebay.

Default carb kit not too hard to do

Finding a good kit is hard but I got one off ebay and then spent about half a day pulling everything apart to get to the carb, figuring how to disassemble (with a manual even) and reassembly. I think the issue I had was a needle valve witha float level adjusted way to high.
Anyway after thorough cleaning and replacing the parts from the kit then reassembly it runs like a charm.
I think the whole thing froms tart to end took around 4 hours taking my time.
