Well I hate to break the bad news. The average person who is looking for a used machine will look for a completely stock machine. With the items you have put on that machine and if it shows any wear at all they are going to pass. In their minds they will think it has been possibly abused. Try closer to $2,600.00. The timing of the sale might have netted you more last spring. Chet

I noticed prices vary state to state, what it your location? If all else fails you could put it on ebay.

i live in connecticut, about 15 mile east of Hartford

Hmmmm, could it possibly be because there's a lot of used warriors & 400EX's on the market for sale by people that bought a new thumper (cannondale, Raptor, Bombardier Etc?)??????????? I to have a 97 Warrior I'm thinking of
selling and would like get decent money for it.

yeah, i'm the second owner, the guy i bought it from put the mods on it. i've only had for 2-3 months, put 30 hours on it. its great, clean, and looks good. i've seen warriors like mine in the paper for 4300! i paid 3000 for it so i can take up to maybe a 500 beating. i'm surprised i haven't got 2950 but maybe the markets been weak lately? thanks for ur help

i got my 91 warrior completly stock for $3000 a month ago. IT was in perfect condtion i think it still has stock tires with plenty of grip left

RobS 08-31-2001 11:30 PM

I paid 1200 for my 88 warrior. Still has the stock plastic in exc shape, no rips in the seat. The engine was rebuilt, other than that it was stock. So far with the new bearings, carb, exhaust, Handle bars and twist grip I have about 1700 invested. I figured this machine should hold me over till Yamaha gets the Raptor ironed out and/or the new sport quads are available. I think the wife will get the warrior then

HA!!! I paid 400 bux for my 87. Although i did have to spend +$2,000 on it, it sure was worth it.

$3000 is a fair price for the location. I live near you and i look through the paper and bargain news at the prices all the time. I would not sell it for less then $3000 if i were you i looked the months in CT area for a warrior and they get top dollar here for them. I just got lucky and got a 2000 warrior for $3000 with lots of goodies too. Even the 1988-1990 warriors in your area are over $2000.
