Banshee won't idle, just rebuilt top end and Hot Rods Crank shaft!
#1
My buddy and I just rebuilt his 96' Banshee and installed a Hot Rods crank shaft and it will run but won't idle! Right side exhaust surges but has more pressure than left side! It occasionally backfires on right side! Compression test was 130 on both sides!
Both carbs are in sink, we can see that through the view windows! The emergency brake/assembly was already disabled before when bike ran ok! Could the problem be in the idle screws? One of them we couldn't find the spring! Could that be a problem? The hose between carbs is on! We thought maybe it was the coil so we put a new one on it. That didn't fix the problem! What about the timing...we are a little unsure of that! The bike has FMF pipes, K&N, Boyse reeds, Weisco pistons(40 over)and Hot Rods crank shaft! Thanks in advance for any info you can give us, we are getting very frustrated and almost ready to give up!
