I just got my '00 grizzly, and put the hitch on it. Problem is, I noticed that the hitch pitches down at about 5-10 degrees from level. Is this normal? I called my dealer, and he said that he wasn't sure why, but that all the hitches from yamaha were that way. Is this true?

Thanks,

b-jens

yes this is the way most yamahas are built
you will find as the quad suspention goes
thrugh its full travel or crest hills the
angle of the hitch will keep from hitting
the trialer hitch and damaging the locking
tab as well
i hope this helps

Yes, this is normal. I'm not sure exactly why there is such an angle, but I have had no problems towing with this hitch.

yes these guys are right,in the areas I go into without this angle you would increase you chances of damaging or even poping your trailer off your hitch when going over high peak objects,I have the 99 grizz and have pulled 4x5 tandem trailer over and through almost everything without any problems the boys at yamaha know there stuff,so go play you have the best in its group, have fun.
