Just got a FMF power core pipe for my Raptor. I went to install it, and it came with a sleeve to put over your stock headpipe. I put that one, and put the pipe on that, but it's not a real snug hit. It's kinda of loose, and when I started the quad up, it leaked a little bit of exhaust out there. That's not any good. Any suggestions for fixing the exhaust leak?

You have to get a new exhaust gasket. I had to do the same for my white bros. R4 pipe. go here and order it. Its part number 17 part 17 get 2 because you will mess up the first one..trust ME!!

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong (or just having a blonde moment), but here's how I'm understanding this:

I have the headpipe, a metal sleeve that goes on the end of the headpipe, and the silencer, which goes on the metal sleeve.

The gasket goes on the metal sleeve at the end of the headpipe? The metal sleeve and the headpipe are a pretty tight fix, it's just the fix between the sleeve and the silencer which isn't. If I'm confusing anyone let me know and I'll upload some pictures.

I would drop the metal sleeve they gave you because the gasket actually has a metal sleeve on it..the drawing dosn't do it justice. half of the gasket has a metal like tape on it..looks like a sleeve. If you want i can take a pic of mine and post it tommorow

If you have the time, I'd appreciate a pic. I would think the gasket would have to be fairly thick for it to seal up without the metal sleeve though. The Inside Diameter of the metal sleeve is 1.9 inches, and the metal seems to be 1/8th inch aluminium. So the gasket would have to be thicker than 1/8th inch thick for it to work ok.

I brought the gasket in to work today..gimme a couple and i will post it up by noon

I left the stock gasket off of mine.

these may not be the best pics..but i measured the thickness of the gasket (wire mesh) and it is 1/8 of an inch thick all around

Thanks alot joeyd. I'll have to order two. I wonder if I could pull the one off my stock muffler...

no problem...the only thing is use great caution when you install it. the wire mesh will go into your finger and it has to be perfectly round with no fraid ends so that the pipe slips in easliy. The smallest little fraid end that sticks up can ruin the whole effort..thats why i said to get 2. Good luck
