I have ridden the Grizzly and really like the bike; however it seems to be geared way too tall in both low, high and reverse ranges. I think if you got stuck in reverse in the mud , it probably won't turn the tires. I wonder if in a tough spot with bigger tires will the machine turn the tires even in low range going forward?
I realize the grizzly isn't as fast accelerating as the 650 or the new 700 polaris but I like the feel(nimbleness) of the grizzly.
Also, how many current owners have experienced the water problem stalling out the motor with the cold water steaming when it hits the motor and making it cough and sputter?
Has anyone experienced the fuel boiling in the tank as the motor gets too hot and caused the engine to run poorly, or is this just a bad rumour?

I have a 660 and it does have a hard time turning its' tires in reverse. But it turns them just fine in low. As far as steam or boiling fuel all that is wrong. It is simple the main jet is to big so it runs rich, and when you get down in the mud and put it under a load it floads out. At least that is what I have narrowed it down to.

I have had mine in water up to the front rack multiple times with no problems. Shallow water crossings and steam have never been a problem. Powerful enough to crawl steep hills and go through mud. I haven't done serious deep mud but very happy overall. Complaints would be rev. limiter in locker mode and needs better tires from factory. Reverse rev. limiter does not bother me.

I don't know where oyu heard that the 660 acceletates slower than the 700, but it is simply not true. out of all of them the 650 is fatsest, than the 660, than the 700.

i did some serious mudding with my grizz. It got stuck with those CRAP tires that they give you from the factory. went through twice. The first time I back right out with no problem, the second time the tires were just big balls of mud. Thank god for the winch and fairlead setup, closest tree was to my extreme right and had to winch to the side. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! TIRES SUCK THE BIGGEST @#$%. think i am going for the 589's m/s tires once i get the money.

I have not had a problem with my Griz in the water. After reading a few articles saying it sputter in water I was affraid to get one. But now I am very happy with it. All I can think of is some of these Grizzlies that were test must not have been set up right. Meaning maybe the spark plug boot was lose or something like that.
