Hello! Just picked up my new 02 Grizzly a couple of hours ago and parked it in the garage. I'm going to put the Warn winch on tomorrow and take it for a spin. It is green with a 2000# warn winch and 3 year extended warranty. I paid $7550 out the door for it. Considering we pay 4.5% sales tax I guess that isn't too bad Just saying hi for the first time.

Congrats! And welcome to the Big Bear Club. You'll enjoy the heck of your new Grizz, I know that I am amazed everytime I get on my grizzly. It is an impressive quad, and in my most humble & honest opinion, the king of the heap right now.

Wow! Just took it around the farm and it is nice! I'm going to let it warm up outside before I ride again today. I must be getting old because my hands were hurting from it being 36 degrees out hahahaha. I'm 24 btw.

Two98~

Don't feel bad, I'm 35, and had to succomb to hot grips and thumb warmers. They really do make a difference in the quality of your cold weather riding.

I've been wanting to ask this without offending any grizzly 600 owners, so this thread looks like a good place to hide my question.
Does the 660 sound wound out when riding it? The only 600 I've ridden a couple of different times left me looking for ear plugs. It was loud from the motor and sounded like I was in low, but when I checked I was in high. Does the 660 carry these traits?

The guy who owns the 600 says he likes yamaha, but will never own another grizzly due to the noise. I try to assure him the 660 is a different machine, but being 65 he's kindof set in his ways. BTW he has 5800 miles on his 99 grizzly. With very few repairs.

I know y'all might say the high reving and noise is an automatic thing, but I assure you my prarie and my buddies 500 magnum don't rev out early like that. Thanks in advance.

I've got the 660, and I also had a rancher. I dont think the 660 sounds wound-out at all.I love the grizz, but I want more power. (I just like massive power) I'm going to pipe and jet it, but which one?????

I traded my 2000 600 grizzly in on a 660 and the 660 is way quieter especially at low speeds. The 660 and 600 are totally different machines if he is looking for a new one tell him to go to a dealer to test ride one and he will be impressed.
