I was wondering about how good big bear 400's are. Does anyone have comments? Thanks for your help.

im no small guy,230lbs but my big bear 400 4x4 os awsome! there is not a hill i cant do and with the warn winch, i really cant get stuck, unless the winch dies. ive only used it 4 me 1 time. i love this quad!

i also have a big bear it is a 2002 4x4, it is the best quad thta i have ever riden i love it.

this topic interests me...i will be purchasing my new quad within the next week....just sold my honda 300...probably gonna kick myself for that!!....anyway, i have my new one narrowed down to the Yamaha Big Bear and the Honda Rancher....DILEMNA!!!...so i would appreciate any comments also.

GreatCanadian, one you ride a new quad I don't think you'll regret having sold your old 300. God, those things are tanks.
Is the Big Bear a good quad? Sure it is, depending on the intended use. If you're mostly using it in slow going rough ground or in mud and water, and you're looking for a work horse I'm sure you'll like it. In terms of dependability it'll be very hard to beat. If, however, you like to do so spirited trail riding, you might find it a bit slow. Personally I'd go for a WOlverine or a Kodiak, but your priorities might be different from mine. |
hard to beat the trx300 4x4! but for me between the foreman and bigdear was my cost at the endyou cannot kill a honda, and the bigbear in my opinion is just as good
