I've taken it to my dealer. He said they tore down the carb nothing wrong with it! Checked the parking brake said there was a little dirt in it cleaned it said he ran it up and down the road and it ran good.Got it home rode around the yard ran great. Decided to take it for a good long ride.About a 1/2 mile into it (when it got good and warm) same problem. Starts cuting out about half throttle. I don't think it's the Parking brake saftey switch. When the parking brake is on it starts cutting out at less then 1/4 throttle......... ????????????????
Thanks

Me thinks you are right, the parking brake switch is probably faulty.

Same thing on my buddies wolverine, going down the trail he pulls over, its sputtering when you give it thottle but idles fine. we tore that carb out on the trail and put it back in 4 times before someone came along and showed us how the parking brake switch gets messed up.

Buy a brake block off and remove all the existing brake assembly..........you won't regret it. One of the best things you can do for your Wolverine. The park brake on the Wolverine is a joke. Nothing but trouble!

Just follow the parking break wire down the steering stem and unplug it and see if thats what it is. If it is then leave it unplugged. Might want to tape up the ends if u leave em unplugged.

Hi,

When I first bought my 95,it developed a bad miss when cruising at more than 1/2 throttle, turned out to be the stator misaligned,so I was getting what the mechanic called 'spark scatter',the power output to the coil was not enough to maintain spark under load. He had to set the gap on the stator to get it to run right. Could be a long shot, but mine acted like a carb problem until they tracked it to that.

95Wolv, That sounds like the same thing my bike is doing know.I took it back to the shop last night. They never could get it to start acting up. So I took it on about a 30 min. ride and on they way back to the shop it started doing it again. So they disconnected the parking brake. That wasn't the problem. They took the baffle .Wasn't the problem either. So they then checked the volts from the stator while it was still warm.Had to leave it there so they could check it when the engine was cold ... Know I'm waiting by the phone to find out if this is my problem .

I've also read that when the stator coils go out it cuts out on the wolverines.

Well I got it back from the shop last night. They said they checked the volt's when the motor was still cool. same reading as when it was warm. So they took the carb out went through it again. Said this time they did find a small piece of dirt or stone.. They let it run for 4 hours yesterday and it ran fine. Got it home last night took it out for about 30 mins no problem yet. But today will be the real test. I'll keep ya posted . Thanks to all the response's.... Trae
