Raptors are Junk! Look, they've only got 35 HP out of the box, top end of about 80 MPH. I know that one of those Mojave's will do better than that! Even one of those farm machinery type quads will do that!

I think that those individuals who believe that the Raptor is now slow, are freaking retarded!

 

the banshee keeps gettin slower in reports too. It used to be high 80s now its like 72 not that top speed matters. about the hill climb it all about rider skill. Some people can make insane hills with a badger. lastly a ds and banshee are fastest stock machine right now. then raptor. hopefully the kawy kxf 650 will blowum all away!!

1986- where do you ride/live?

 

14mins - unfortunately I live in SW Missouri... It would be a long trip for me to come down for a drag race.

I would love to run one of you guys stock vs stock - and from the sounds of it, you have a pretty hopped up Raptor I wouldn't mind seeing run as well.

I also do a lot of racing in Arkansas. If any of you are the cross country type, you should come to one of our races sometime - I'll be on the green 400EX.

I don't know if you do any sand dragging, but I go out to Little Sahara a few times a year as well - I'm almost always out there for Snake hunt. This is where I've drag raced the CD in the past.

I'll also be making some 1/8 mile passes on pavement soon, it'll be interesting to see what kind of numbers I can turn. What does the typical stock Raptor turn in the 1/8th?

 

1986- last year when i was only piped/jetted i ran a 9.02 in the 1/8. Need to head back and see what kind of improvement i made. I have made a few trips to L.S., but perfer the sand at kermit better. Both places are 350 miles from the house.

1986- 350 miles west of ft. worth tx. 60,000 plus acres of sand. A giant version of L.S. with few riders. Most of the time there are less than 200. We have had the place all to ourselves a few times for a day.

The thing I like about LS is you have nice open dunes, but also good trails (when they're not whooped out too badly)....

I may have to go on a road trip and check that out....
