hey,
I was wondering if it is o.k. to drill alot of 1/4 in diamiter holes in the back of the exhaust pipe on my grizzly. i would remove the spark arrester, then reinstall it when i'm done. kinda like a poor mans muffler exchange, lol? my thought was to open up the exhaust for free flow? will it work? thanks for the replys!!! my pictures |
Check my pics and tell me... lol Yes it makes a huge difference! I went a little farther and added a 1-1/2" outlet instead of the reduced outlet it had stock. I am thinking of increasing it to 2" soon, just to see if it gives it more
Also I used a 1/2" bit and drilled 10 holes... if you space 'em right you can fit 14, as I've done 2 since with the max amount of holes. You will need a loooong drill bit, check it before you go to the store to buy one. |
I'd put it this way detroit doesn't try to use 3/4" exhuast pipes for 41hp motors, in fact most hundred pony cars use 1 3/4", that's with much smaller exhuast pulses too (4cylynder.)
