sup guys,
well I've had this problem for a while and I still can't figure out what is wrong. I have figured out that it is not the bulb and that it is getting power. Is there a gound wire or a wire from the trans that could be missing? have any ideas where they are on the Warrior? thanks in advance for the help, any info appreciated, Patrick |

there is a connection around the gear shifter mine falls off everynow and then the light just stops working my wire is green and it is thin

Some things you may wish to check. The Warrior uses a common brown wire for many of the circuts, this includes your neautral light. You may check your continuity on that wire. The other thing is the neutral safety switch that is located below and forward of your shifter on the case. You should disconnect your wire from it and perform a ohm check on it as well. The neutral safety switch is spring loaded and when you shift out of neutral the gear inside the case moves and allows the spring to move forward on the safety switch putting the circuit to an open position. When it is in neutral the spring inside the switch is compressed putting the circuit in a closed state, thus lighting your light. Usually if this switch is bad you will not be able to start the Warrior w/o pulling the clutch in. If you pull the switch out be carefull because oil from the case will leak out. I suggest either draining it down some or tilting the bike on it's side for a short period. The new switch is about $23.00 from the Yamaha shop.
