I'm looking to get a new set of rear tires for my Raptor thinking of going to a 22" . My buddy has a set of 20" holeshots that are as big as anothers 22" has any one seen or heard this b4 also considering new wheels where is a good place to order a set. Looking for more ground clearance maybe even goto a larger rim advantages or disadvantages any info would be great.... Thanks in Advance...

i still have my stock radials, but i do have some advice on the wheel diameter. if you are going to go with a larger wheel, make sure you still have a thick enough sidewall to support the quad. if the tire pressure you run is too low, then you could damage the rim if you run over something.

what kind of riding do you do and what didnt you like about the radials?

mostly ditch banging (where there has been alot of utility's) trails and occasionally mx track . I'm thinking of rejetting and throughing a set of studs in my stock tires but mostly they are wore out from riding on the streets after tuning a little bit..

I'm running Razr's on the back of mine. They powerslide much better than the stock Dunlop's. But they do give up some forward traction.

ive heard good things about the razors too. they are pretty much a cheaper, more durable alternative to the itp holeshots. they come stock on the predators

if you want to run 22" tire go with ITP xct tires... They are good....

hey Ry, didn we just talk about jets? hehe
2 of our 3 raps run holeshot XCT, 23' front, and 22" rear. really rocky around here and sharp volcanic stuff all over the place.
went riding one weekend and had three flats in one day on two raps with those radial tires. chaparral got the order on monday morning! not one single flat yet.
and,
these tires are stiffer and a little taller, so ya might want to retooth by one up front.
plus
yer gonna have to loosen up your suspension on those stout tires, and guess what? that tippy feeling goes away! that baby's gonna slide like a outlaw sprint car!
you will enjoy it! guaranteed.
oh, and get GOOD wheels, not the .125 cheapies they offer in the package. we spend a lot of time pounding them back to round....too thin for the way we ride at least, and if you get air, get good rims! or good insurance! hehe

What ever you do don't buy a set of Turf Tamers. I Bought a set of them about a month ago and they are $hit, they don't hook up on anything!

How do the larger diameter tire handle on a Raptor? Seems like it would kill your handling unless you go with extended A-arms and axle.

22's will only raise the axle 1 inch higher. The handling is pretty much the same as stock.
