Hi my name is Alex and im a ATV-aholic. Just playin. My name really is Alex though, i'm a 14 year old guy, I live in San Diego. I'm a beginner and i'm planning on getting a Banshee but reading your forums are giving me second thoughts. Which ATV do you guys recommend for a beginner like me?
What got me interested in quads in the first place was "The Kangaroo Kid", But i don't plan on doin stuff like that as of yet maybe in like 10 years.
Is riding a Banshee really as hard as you guys say it is? write me back and tell me your opinions.

If I were you I would reconsider my choice because your a beginner and the Banshee is meant for experienced riders. For you I would suggest something like the Blaster. Cause the Blaster is a two stroke like the Banshee and it would get you use to all the two stroke stuff like shifting gears and learned to keep the motor working so it doesn't foul plugs. The reason I saying the shifting gears is because on two-strokes you have to shift gears all more than you do on a four-stroke.

If your not too big(physical size wise)get the blaster. A great begginer to advaced quad.

I agree, the Banshee is a pure race/sport quad for an experienced rider. Its really powerful and in my opinion too much quad for an un-experienced rider. Like everyone else said, the blaster would be good to get you used to a 2 stroke manual shifting quad. Good luck!

i know these kids that live next door to my freind and hes 11 and hes got a banshee and he can ride it REALLY good.hes only like 5'0 too. i think its the first quad hes ever had.so if u want a banshee get one just becuase the power is there does not meen u have to use it.

whenever this question comes up, people are usually pretty quick to say the banshee is too powerful for anyone asking whether they should get it as a first quad. they mean well, though. the banshee is indeed powerful and a greater degree of skill is needed to ride it than many other quads. but most importatnly, you need discipline. like the post below says, just because the power is there doesn't mean you have to use it. start very carefully, take the time to learn how to ride properly and within your ability and the banshee will not dissappoint. there are alot of people on banshees out there, some older and some younger than yourself. you need to treat it with respect and take the time to learn how to control it. have fun.

Hello, I have to fully agree with fakie99. you also have to realize that you will outgrow the blaster. I say go for the banshee!!

i agree respect the power of the bike and dont ever ride harder than you can handle. you can also restrict the throttle on the banshee so it will not go over 1/4 1/2 throttle or what ever you want to set the screw

Id love to see him take that for a ride the first time lol.

but that is gonna be so funny when he takes that for a ride the first time.
I saw go for it but get a helmet lol

well, first of all, since im a new memeber here, here's some background. i live in western ny, and im 16 yrs old. i love wheeler and have been riding since i was about 8. so anyway, Xlea851817, i would say go for a blaster. a banshee is a really nice, fast toy. i owned a 94 banshee. before that i had a 90 blaster, an 86 trx125, and a yamaha trimoto. now i got a 96 warrior. the banshee was the most fun, definately. but if you're just beginning, dont get one. first of all, it makes me mad when im up at the pits and see some kid who has one as his first quad, and babies the hell out of it, and dont know how to ride. it's like the machine is pretty much going to waste. ride a blaster for about a year and get used to a two stroke, then go for the banshee. it's much better to have the experience and know how to ride. and on a banshee, you kind of do have to use the power of it. if you dont keep it in the r's, then those plugs will foul left and right all the time. but that dont mean wind the hell out of it, either. that's why i say get used to a two stroke first, then get and banshee.
