Who's Tried A Dial-A-Jet?

Just saw a Thunder Products Dial-A-Jet advertized in Rocky Mountain. Has anyone used one of these? Does it work as well as a normal jet kit? I ride at different altitudes, anywhere from 3500ft. to 9500ft. It would be nice to be able to ajust jetting by turning a screw. Do you need two dial a jet kits? One for each carb? and do they stay where you set them?

We use them on our prairie 650's that we pull with, (ATV pulls, modified class). We use them to inject klotz nitro (nitrous propane) into our carbs mixed with pump gas. It works well for what we are doing.

Talk to Lorn at Thunder. He owns the company and is a good guy to talk to.

Yes you need one for each carb. You need to down size two jet sizes, so the Dial-a-jets will have room to work. They stay where they are set.

Good luck.

We ride from sealevel to 9000 feet. I had the typical jetting dilemma on my Wolverine. Installed Dial-A-Jet to save time and effort. IT WORKS! The added bonus was a very noticeable power increase. The driveability improved, too. You don't have to fiddle with it at all once installed. It's adjustable but I never change mine. That's bad news for you tinkerers!!! I've since installed 2 more on my Buddys" wolverine with the same results. They were very impressed and they're not gearheads. If you want to jet once and have more power, the Dial-A-Jet is for you. It's very simple, no moving parts, and no fiddling. One kit per carb is required. They're very reasonably priced. I suggest you also get the air filter for it. It's only about 10 bucks.
