Raptor ignition?? Good, bad or do not care??

I have been told by a few people that they are out now for the general public. I think the "KING" had the first working one on a non working quad. (blown up????) Anyway Ernest for santa fe texas called me and said he talked to mark robertson in omaha about a few things and he told him he had 2 on the shelf for 360 dollars??? Unless you plan on running NOS or need to re tod ed the timing is the dyna box worth the dough???I do not usally hit my rev limiter cause the power has dropped 2 low by that point. So what do you think about the rev box?? Good or bad??? It looks like i will be able to get a few of them for around 250 dollars. I do not plan on using one at this point. I may change my mind tommorow.

I would like to have one if nothing other than to play with the timming curve. AlkyX said it made a great deal of improvment to his Shee, I know apples and oranges but...

$250 isn't bad what about the cable and software? Not saying I am going to buy one but just for refeance sake

Remember when you could get on here and ask a question and an engine builder would get on here and try to answer it for you? I wonder why no one gets on here anymore?

P.S. The motor didn't blow up because of the Dyna, it blew up because of the POS Hot Cams Stage II caused the entire valve train to ricochet around the head until there was nothing left.

King,
If you would?
I would be interested in hearing about how the stage-2 took out the valve train.
Not enough clearance?
Cam broke?
I really can't think of what else could have happened and am curious.

Jim- i think the decompressor pin came out under max rpm's striking the edge of a rocker arm. The pin was albe to come out to far on the last batch of hot cams. It was not a pretty site. i have seen the same thing on another raptor. It was a combo of small problems with the last batch of hot cams. All fixed now.
