Default Chrome stock replacement muffler "cap" for 660 grizz

i read earlier that when doing the stock muffler mod on the grizzly than someone was making turned chrome muffler pipe. where can i get this? i was going to weld my own stainless pipe on in place of the stock one but than realized how thin the metal was and would probably just end up melting it rather than welding it.

so could some tell me where i can get this part.

I tried doing a search on it for the last ninety days and I can't get anything to come up.

I might be not wording it in correctly, but I just can't find anything at present.

Hope someone sees this so they can give you the information you need.

Chet

I have not got one yet but according to PowerHungry 660 there is a company called Mountain West Performance Enterprise. And they are supposed to have a kit just for this. It is supposed to be a new tip with spark arrester and a long drill bit to drill out the plate inside. And according to him it is only like 60 bucks. Here is a link to the email address Mountain Wes

If you get one let me know how it works out. P.S. there was a post about this on the Utility here it is

Just weld it it will be fine. I did, I went to the local hardware store and bought a 7" pice of 1 1/2 pipe. I cut the threads off on both ends and made an angle cut and welded it on. Ive got a Lincon weldpack155 220V on B setting. Came out just fine. Used some Black BBQ paint and bolter her up.

If your still scared you can get the T.E.C inserts. Bunch of guys run them over at the highlifter board. Me...I was tired of waiting on other people. Calling them, placing the order, giving them money, shipping from god knows were, complications ect.....

It took me 30 minutes total
Drove to True value down the street
Bought 12" long 1/2" drill bit
Bought a 1 1/2 hole saw
Bought a 7"long 1 1/2" pipe
Drilled
welded
painted
DONE

Got this idea off the nation forum. Get Yoshi's TEC inserts at RockymoutainATV. Take a saw & cut the stock end pipe where it is welded to the end cap on the inside. Then take the pipe and spark arrest out. You'll need to run the cap backwards and with a grinding tool open up the hole to fit the bigger insert in. Now you have two sizes that are easy to change out.
Instead off cutting a bunch of small holes in the baffle I cut one 1.5" hole with holesaw under the stock hole which lines up with the hole for the header. Works better and easier. With the small insert it's not loud.
