i think it should be something that sounds fast, but four stroke. how about "weneverstoodachancewithawarriorsowemadethison e" quad. kind of catchy.

I've had a little more time too think about a name for Yamaha's new ATV. Here are some more possibilities (staying with the "B" theme).

Beetle - Not very performance oriented (not to
mention already taken by VW)
Berserk - to corny
Boomerang - Nah, this name leaves itself open
for too many jokes. "Yeah Yamaha
called it the Boomerang because it
always comes back the dealer."
Bonsai - Possible replacement for the
"Banshee"
Beaver - Sounds like a name for an 80cc ATV.
******* - To politcally incorrect

I think I will stick with my original idea "Barracuda". Just my opinion.

Thanks for all the good ideas,
John

I seen a dealer brochure with the front end of the quad hiding in a snakes face...is this a hint of the name? Named after a snake/serpent. The 2 lights under the fenders were its eyes and the front end radiator cover was its scales. They said the displacement was suppose to be 600+ It looks pritty mean, but I dont like the front end plastic, kinda weird looking.

Yeah, I bet it will have a snake's name - or something close to that. I just got my dirtwheel's june 2000 issue (may have got it before the rest of you cause I just ordered a subscription - they said I'd get may's late and june's early) and they have some spy pics of it; it has diamond shaped lights that are rounded at the corners and are about twice as long horizontally as they are vertically. They are turned up slightly so to look as reptile/bug/space alien eyes. Yeah, they look like the space alien eyes you see on "popularized" pics of space aliens. They are positioned under the front fenders and flush with the front assembly. The back end looks kinda like the 400EX but with more clearance. Sorry if everyone's seen the june issue already. The more I think about it, it might be kinda cheesy to name it according to its looks - makes light of the obvious.
