Call Elka directly and ask for Martin...ask him if he can match or beat that offer. odds are you will be taken care of and will now have direct dialouge with Elka...whom will take the time to make your shocks a custom fit for you. trust me, call them direct.

 

I have purchased parts from him, and my brother has as well. The only problem with any of the transactions was that he overcharges on shipping. The Elkas your referring to are a perfect example, he lists shipping as $24 + $ 2 insurance. There is no way they cost 26 dollars to ship, maybe $15 with insurance. Now I would'nt let that stop me from purchasing them if the extra shipping charge + the cost of the Elkas comes out to be much cheaper than elsewhere.

 

Yea, looks like he tries to recoup a little in the shipping. If the price gets anywhere near his "buy it now" then it would probably be better to buy them new..I think retail on those shocks is slightly less than $750 w/ shipping.

 

either way, you won't regret your purchase...ive got them all around with Self Sagging, triple rates with "piggy-back" ressies. its a new ride...lower...stable...you have to charge jumps aliitle faster but the landings rock. oh yeah, easy to adjust to

 

What is the number to the gut at elka, I wonder if they give military discount

 

Elka is in canada and the shipping is more expensive because they use UPS airmail. Ground would take a long time. Martin is not giving discounts anymore because the dealers complained.

 

That seems like a very good buy. Elka raised their prices $75 across the board as of Feb 1, 2003. If I had a Raptor, or Banshee, and was looking into shocks, I would eat those up.

I have Elkas on my 400EX. They are an extremely nice shock.

 

Does anyone know if those are compression adj. also that guy will not answer my email, and I need new shocks like now..

 

These would appear to be standard Sport Series. The Elites series have high and low speed adustments. Go to Elka's website to get some more info. The Elites retail for $1100 so I doubt that these are those. The guy selling those seems to have a mediocre idea of what he has. I would definitely ask for a picture of the product. It is a more than reasonable request. Especially on a large expenditure. Just my opinion, I just bought Elka's off ebay and did alright, but didn't get everything I needed because I was a little misinformed.
