What have you made for your quad yourself or had made for you??

I made alum. fender support brackets so I could take off those G@Y heelguards.

Was getting ready to try and make a wheelie bar myself. Any tips? What kind of a wheel did you use?

Now that a mod has come in & gotten completely off topic & I've taken care of that I can get back on topic & answer your question.

The toughest part about making the wheelie bar was the top mount & figgureing out where to put it.
Don't make it too short or stiff it'll make the rrear tires unload.
The tire is a Go-Cart wheel with a front hub for the axle.

You wouldn't think you'd have to put a modarator in line but I do what I have to!!

Never thought about making a bracket like that ... NICE!!

I though about putting a strut in to lower the back and just mounting the top bar to the strut. Do you think that this would hurt more than benefit?

If everything was solid it should work good.
I made mine like I did for a couple of reasons,
1. I didn't want to have to remove the rear shock, It's a PIA to do all the time, so I just strap down the rear end to compress the suspension.
2. I wanted to use the stock bolts (On the linkage mount) since longer shoulder bolts are hard to find.

I may try the strut but not sure yet. I have to get the bike finshed up then I'm going to get the stuts and wheele bar made. I will put some pics up one I get it done. (if it looks a little like yours dont get mad) [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
