Warrior won't start when hot!!!

i have a '96 warrior with all the goodies. performance cam, k@n, fmf mega max, and wiesco+.060. I think i have finally got it rejetted right, but now it won't start when it is hot! Am i fowling the plug running too lean? or is that possible? Never really messed with anything but the main. i run around 7,000 feet. can anyone help?

Every year when i haul my warrior out to the gunnison area, i notic hard starting as well. I have comparible Mods as you. Since we run from 9,000-14,000 above, i run a 137.5 main, and the needle is is pushed all the way down. Check your plugs for color at the elevation you normally ride at. If you tend to have hard starting higher up it is deffinatly a rich mixture. If it is down low then you have a lean mixture... Increasing the octane in your gas will also help, out there i would always stick in some VP octane booster. Also warn valves, a weak spark, or low compression may keep you machine from starting up. Exactly what does it do?

Warrior won't start when hot!!!

well, i jetted for 7,000 ( i think i run a 135) and went down to Pueblo, CO (4,500 ft) ran great. Stopped to take a break and it wouldn,t start at all. It will idle fine before you shut it off. I then took out the plug. seemed fine, no carbon buildup. put in a new plug and it started (but not a strong start sputted and then came back to life). Someone suggested running a hotter or a cooler plug??? what is that? Also, when i rev it hard and then let off and use the motor to slow me down, it pops from the exhaust! is this a simptom to my problem? At the time i was running a low octane pump gas, could of been old GAS also!

THANK'S FOR YOUR HELP

YES. With the popping you are running rich i believe. When i would be desending down the mountian side from 13,000 it would pop. But this could be a lean condition beacause little gas is getting to the engine with the carb plate closed. What color was your plug? whitish carmal, or black? this is deffinatly a jetting problem if it will do the same as a new plug is installed. try removing the air box cover when starting it and see if that helps any. You also my have low fuel flow. Blow into the breather hose before you crank the engine to pressurize the tank.
