The Polaris Scrambler is popular among riders who want a sporty ride with the ability to go anywhere. By combining a powerful 500 engine and Polaris’ legendary true All-Wheel Drive, the Scrambler delivers impressive top speed, quick acceleration and light handling, giving riders passage to remote places and rough terrain.

The power plant of the Scrambler is a liquid-cooled Polaris 500 High-Output 4-valve, 4-stroke engine.  It has a sealed battery and electric start. The Polaris Variable Transmission (PVT) responds automatically to changes in engine speed and vehicle torque load by delivering just the right power to the drive wheels.  Power is fed to the rear wheels via a durable, concentric chain drive and to the front wheels by a shaft drive.

The Scrambler’s power is matched with the traction provided by Polaris On-Demand All Wheel Drive (AWD).  Engaged with a thumb switch on the handlebar, this system automatically engages when the rider needs more forward traction. It reverts to 2WD automatically when AWD is no longer needed.

For better performance and handling over tough terrain, the Scrambler provides 10.5 inches of rear suspension travel, 8.2 inches of frontundefined suspension travel and 5.5 inches of ground clearance. A gas-charged, twin-tube shock and progressive-rate rear suspension deliver more than twice the rear suspension travel of competitors.  In the front, a MacPherson strut suspension provides more resilience, better handling and less rider fatigue.

Braking is provided by Polaris’ single-lever, all-wheel hydraulic disc brakes.  The Scrambler 500 has a 3.5-gallon fuel tank, a mechanical fuel gauge and dual headlights.

For 2007, The Scrambler 500 is available in Black.
