Friday Funny: Banshee Backflip

The setup: A steep sandy incline appropriately named “Banshee Hill”, a man in a lame orange raincoat mounted on a Yamaha Banshee wearing a helmet cam and a quick lesson in physics.

Sharp acceleration from a dead stop instantly shifts the center of gravity to the rear of the machine. Add a steep hill to the equation and even more of the machine and rider’s weight suddenly heads rearward. Trouble is as the front un-weights, there goes your ability to steer.

This is usually not a bad thing in wide open spaces but factor trees into the mix and well, you’ll see. Best of all you get two angles of the impromptu back-flip and a slow motion instant replay.
