I was wondering if their is any difference between proior year Arctic Cat atvs. I see on other web sites they have the oil filter up to 2004 or 05 but nothing for the 06s. My atv is the Arctic cat 500 auto. Also what oil would you all recommend I was thinking mobil one motor cycle or or maybe valvoline oil. I appericate any help

All the 400s, 500s, 650 V2s and H1s use the same filter as 2005. As to the 250s and the 700EFI I don't know and didn't look. The catalogs are only showing thru 2005 because the catalogs haven't been updated. If the engine stays the same the filter will too.

If you live near a NAPA, they have great filters made by Wix. The 500 auto takes Napa Gold 1359. Been using them since 98 when my 500 was new. When I sold it 2 years ago, it had 4200 miles on it.

Arctic Cat is going to new oil filters, they are taller then the old ones. The H1's already use these. So when you get a filter from your dealer, make sure it is a new "tall" one.

That's good to know, and I will ask.
