Default Wheel spacers, how small can I go?

Well, first of all, I got my new ITP Baja Cross tires from and they look like a GREAT tire - I'm anxious to try them out!

OK, my question; For the time being, I put 3 fender washers on each lug nut stud. By putting 3/16's worth of spacer on, it allows my tire to clear the tie rod by about 1/8" of an inch - is this enough clearance?

Also, by putting the 3 washers on, it "appears" (tough to measure with the cone shaped lug nut) that I have about 7/16 thread left on the studs - is this enough thread? How little thread could I go to and still have it be enough??

Thanks in advance!

Bogey
