I'm finialy looking to sell my CR125. I don't ride it that much and it does me no good sitting in the shop, it's just taking up space. Anyway about 3 years ago before I got into fixing all my own rides myself I had the engine rebuilt because it went very spectacularly. Siezed up 6th gear almost WFO. Not good. Anyway after a new top end, crank, new main bearings, waterpump, and shift shaft I got the engine back. My engine builder told me it was extremely hard shifting and he didn't know why. He said everything was in spec and he took it apart several different times to see what was causing this. So I took it home and yes it was hard shifting but after a week or 2 of riding it the bike began to shift buttery smooth.

Now ever since then though the bike has been a pain to get into second gear. That is untill I learned the trick. You have to be making a right hand turn and just shift normaly. 9 out of 10 times it will shift into second without hitting neutral. If you're riding straight or making left hand turns probly 3 out of 10 times it'll shift into second. But when the engine is off and the bike is on the stand it'll shift into second gear fine no matter what way the bike is leaning. I took the clutch basket off and went through the shifting mechanisim the other day and I found nothing wrong. Any ideas? By the way it's an '83 engine in an '84 frame.
