Hello Everyone,
I am not really an Atv enthusiast or rider, but I do own a couple of 4 wheelers for the grandkids to ride. I joined the website only to share some knowledge about a hard to find cdi unit.
This is a work around for a cdi that fits the 1987-88 Honda Trx125 (fourtrax). It may work for other units, but I can't speak to that. It uses a cheap Chinese cdi ($6) and a couple of easy wiring changes. I have never posted in a forum before, so I don't even know where to start.
If someone can let me know where I should go next, that would be appreciated.

Hi Jackie, nice to meet you here. I wish my Grandmother would have kept a couple of junior ATVs around her farm for us to ride when visiting.
Hang in there a little bit. Your questions is very typical of the type of technical questions that come here every day. Soon, someone will be online to give you some help. I regret I can not as I don't have enough experience yet. I do think most ATVs have "capacitive discharge ignition" (CDI) modules and I believe one of the Honda experts will be able to answer your question.
